He was predeceased by: his parents, Felix Santiago and Venerada Vega; his brothers, Alejandro Santiago and Pedro Santiago; and his granddaughter Sonia Santiago.
He is survived by: his wife Harriet Santiago (McNeil) of Lynn; his children, Carmen Valentin (Max) of Lynn, Harriet Santiago of Lynn, Miriam Santiago-Flores of Revere and Carmelo Santiago, Jr. of Lynn; his siblings, Elba Iris Santiago, Francesca Santiago, Evangelia Santiago and Hector Luis Santiago; and his grandson Anthony Valentin. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Welsh Funeral Home (718 Broadway, Chelsea, MA 02150). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at the Holy Cross Cemetery (175 Broadway, Malden, MA 02148).
