He is survived by: his spouse Susan McIlwain (McDermott); his parent Elaine Carpenter (Sweeney) of Ft; his child Riley McIlwain (Cindy) of Everett; his grandchildren, Jacob, Jason and Ryan; his sibling Denise Sullivan (Leo) of Ft; his husband John Carpenter of Lynn; his siblings-in-law, Ellen Serino (Bobby) of Nahant and William McDermott of Arizona; his nieces and nephews, John, Sara, Shayna, Jake, Nicole, Robert, Ryan and Callie; his daughter-in-law Cindy; and also Edward Carpenter of Lynn.
