It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Harrington of Lunenburg, Massachusetts, born in Boston, Massachusetts, who passed away on November 23, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Harrington and Helen Harrington (Satkowski); his wife Dianne Harrington (Belleville); and his brother James Harrington. He is survived by: his sons, Robert Harrington, Jr. (Dale Osborne) of Epsom, NH, Gregory Harrington (Kristen Anderson) of Marshfield, MA and Christopher Harrington of Lunenburg, MA; his granddaughters, Amanda Harrington of Somerville, MA and Emily Harrington-Brown of Marshfield, MA; and his brothers, John Harrington of Wilbraham, MA, David Harrington of The Villages, FL and Thomas Harrington of West Springfield, MA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
When the pandemic hit and he was forced to spend most of his time at home, Bob still participated in the Senior Center Book Club, which regularly met virtually, enjoyed doing puzzles, tending to his "deck garden," and watching his beloved Boston sports teams.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.
