She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Manuel Saraiva and Graca Saraiva (Pais); her significant other Manuel J. Saraiva; her sons, Nelson Saraiva of Ludlow and David Saraiva (Jill) of Chicopee; her grandchildren, Jared, Darian, Elijah and Marcos; and her sisters, Elvira Sequeira of Ludlow and Maria Ascencao of Portugal. She was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nazare's memory to St. Jude Children's hospital, or Janice Gruppioni Underhill Endowed memorial scholarship (financial aid to students with physical disability) at Western New England University.
