He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose DaCosta and Maria Rosa DaCosta (Nunes); his wife Bonnie DaCosta (Desmarais); and his siblings, Antonio DaCosta and Esther Phaneuf.
He is survived by: his children, Yvette M. Talenda (Jeffrey), Catherine A. Zimmerman (Herbert) and Joseph M. DaCosta; his grandchildren, Kyle E. J. DiPenta (Marisa Morrissette), Alexandra A. Zimmerman and Carl M. Zimmerman; his sisters, Maria Adams and Judith Berniche (James); and his sister-in-law Carol DaCosta. He is also survived by many loving extended family members, and dear friends.
Additional services will be held privately by the family and in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society (cancer.org).
