He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Mateus and Laurinda Mateus. He is survived by: his wife Alice Mateus; his children, Nuno (Kathleen) and George (Tina); his grandchildren, Bella, Finn, Rowan and Jackson; and his siblings, Gina Barreiro (Orlando), Incarnacao Carvalho (Henrique) of Portugal, Carolina Palatino (Manuel) and Jose Mateus of Ludlow. He is also survived by many brothers and sisters in-laws as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 8:45 AM to 10:15 AM at the Ludlow Funeral Home (432 East St, Ludlow, MA 01056). A burial was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 10:15 AM at the Island Pond Cemetery (499 Center St, Ludlow, MA 01056). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Fatima Parish (438 Winsor St, Ludlow, MA 01056).
