She was predeceased by: her husband Phillip H. Burstein; and her parents, Anthony Caggiano Sr. and Theresa M. Caggiano (Capano). She is survived by: her daughter Danielle Burstein (Tara Popec); her siblings, Maryann Drohan (late John) of Melrose, MA and Anthony Caggiano (Sarah) of Winermere, FL; and her niece Michelle Drohan.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Buonfiglio Funeral Home (128 Revere St, Revere, MA 02151). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Anthony's Church (250 Revere St, Revere, MA 02151). A burial was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (175 Broadway, Malden, MA 02148).

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Emily's memory to Alzheimer and Dementia association.
