Detra E. Swift Obituary
We are sad to announce that on October 5, 2024, at the age of 79, Detra E. Swift of Ludlow, Massachusetts, born in Casper, Wyoming passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Detra may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frederick Pokzyrwa and Dorothy Dorsett (Owens); and her siblings, Linda Vinson and Frederick Pokryzwa. She is survived by: her husband William J. Swift Jr.; her children, Wendy D. Queiros (Nathan Queiros) of Belchertown and William Swift (Shannon Shatos) of Monson; her grandchildren, Kiley and Rylan Queiros of Belchertown; and her brother Joseph Vinson (Cheryl Vinson) of Troy, N. Y.. She is also survived by many loving extended family members and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Detra's memory to the charity of one's choice.
