He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Socha and Melania Socha (Frankowski). He is survived by: his wife Betty Socha (Kaloroumakis); his children, Karen Surapine (Peter) of Stafford Springs, CT, Jake Socha (Maureen) of Ludlow, Melaina De Marco (Robert) of Pound Ridge, NY and Pamela Chaplin (Alex) of Ludlow; his grandchildren, Emilie Pacheco (Eric), Michaela Smith (Robert), Paige Perkins (Adrian), Molly Socha (George Capen), Oscar De Marco and Elena Chaplin; his great grandchildren, Jacob Socha, Braydon and Declan Smith; his great-aunt Cynia Kudla; his siblings, Daniel Socha and Kristine Gregory; and his caregivers, Liz, Vida, Irene and Kim. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Kozikowski Funeral Home (565 Front St, Chicopee, MA 01013). A Mass was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral (22 St George Rd, Springfield, MA 01107).
