She was predeceased by: her husband Clinton E. Barter; her parents, James McGarahan and Kathryn McGarahan (Heslin); and her sister Kathleen Dunfey. She is survived by: her children, Ed (Peggy) of Lowell, Mary Beth (Bob) of Salisbury, Kathy (David) of Merrimack, NH, Sheila of Stoneham, Brian (Celeste) of Lowell and Stephen (Kimberly) of Lowell; her brother Frank McGarahan (Sophie); her brother-in-law John Dunfey of Tewksbury; her grandchildren, Ed Barter, Colleen Hood (Barter), Katy McNamara (Meisser), Jeff Meisser, Matthew Barter and Connor Barter; and her friend Irish.
Maureen was recognized, along with Clint, for her dedicated services and many contributions to the Lowell Division.
