He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Martin and Pearline Cora Shanahan; and his sister Patricia (Pat) Lafountaine (Shanahan). He is survived by: his wife Joy Carpenter; his children, Mark Shanahan (Sarah Dardick), Heather Carpenter, Trista Pence (Cody) and Ashley Shanahan (Roger Durdel); and his siblings, Katie Perez (Ricardo), Kevin Shanahan (Ilene) and Nene Shanahan. He is also survived by his 13 grandchildren.
