He was predeceased by: his wife Maria João Machado (Azevedo); his parents, Manuel F. Machado and Elvira Machado (Augusta); and his son Jose Gabriel Machado. He is survived by: his children, Fernando M. Machado (Rosemary) of Lowell, Fernanda M. Machado of Lowell and Rui Machado of Terceira, Azores; his grandchildren, Michelle Shay (Matt) of Dracut, Michael (Jennifer Machado), Melissa Correia (Helder Matias) of Dracut, Scott Machado (Kimberly) of Chelmsford, Jason Kosiavelon (Mary Cunningham) of Lowell, Christopher Kosiavelon of Provincetown and Katelyn Kosiavelon (Michael Arias) of Lowell; his great grandchildren, Tristan, Ashton, Mikaela, Dillan, Cameron, Jaxon, Travis, Stephen and Abigail; and his sister-in-law Celeste Montgomery of Dracut. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
