He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Scanlon and Helen A. Scanlon (Myron); his sibling Nancy E. Begley; his sibling-in-law Andrew Moynihan; and his parent-in-law James.
He is survived by: his spouse Mary F. Scanlon (Speiran); his daughters, Karen (John Dunn), Laura (Stephen Christianson) and Susan (Craig Mankiewicz); his siblings-in-law, Carol Moynihan of Methuen, Maureen Scanlon of Lowell and William Lacey of Stoneham; his grandchildren, James, Christina Dunn of Dracut, Matthew and Ashley Christianson of Groton; his sibling-in-law John Begley; and his parents-in-law, Margaret (Carolan) and Speiran. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, and cousins.
