William R. Thayer Obituary

In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact William had on those he encountered along his journey. Though William may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Allen R. Thayer and Barbara F. Moulton Thayer Meltzer; and his brother Lloyd M. Thayer of Wilmington. He was also cherished by niece and nephew, a great-niece and a great-nephew.
The inurnment was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at the Hillside Cemetery (8 Main St, Monson, MA 01057). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Unitarian Universalist Society of Greater Springfield, MA (245 Porter Lake Dr, Springfield, MA 01106).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Unitarian Universalist Society (UUSGS), South Congregational Church in East Harford, CT, or St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Springfield, MA.
