She was predeceased by: her parents, William West and Gertrude West (Fitzsimmons); and her brothers-in-law, Laverne Cain and Edward Cormier. She is survived by: her husband Donald H. Cormier of Longmeadow; her children, Donna Deroche (David) of Hampden, David Cormier (Debra) of Springfield, Nancy Keefe (Timothy) of Springfield, Kathleen Nemphos (Stephen) of Wilbraham and Ann Duncan (Brian) of Wilbraham; her grandchildren, Timothy Keefe, Matthew Keefe, Michael Deroche (Tiffany), Catherine Deroche, Alex Nemphos, Patrick Duncan, John Maloney, Bridget Duncan, Benjamin Deroche, Grace Nemphos and Julia Nemphos; her siblings, William West (Barbara) of Dalton, MA, James West (Karen) of Dalton, MA, Patrick West (Connie) of Dalton, MA, Lawrence West (Jef Sumrall) of Weatherford, TX, Martha Cain of Amelia Island, FL and Nancy Hoskins (Donald) of Medford, OR; and her sister-in-law Arlene Cormier of Dalton. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Rita's family suggest either a mass card in her memory or donation to Baystate Hospice, 30 Capitol Drive, West Springfield, MA 01089.
