He is survived by: his wife Patricia McCarthy (Slattery); his son Kevin McCarthy; his daughter-in-law Kate Ballou; his grandson Bob McCarthy; his brother Peter McCarthy; and his sisters-in-law, Caroline Clayton, Georgia McCarthy and Martha McCarthy.
