He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio Chabot and Lumina Chabot. He is survived by: his wife Del Chabot of Longmeadow; his children, Laurie Maglathlin (Peter), Dr. John Chabot (Laurie), Carol Steele (Rick), Alan Chabot (Alicia) and Leslie Volk (Todd); and his grandchildren, Emily Steele, PJ Maglathlin, Caroline, Orchimont, Sarah Canning, Dr. Jack Steele, Andrea Sacks, Elizabeth MacLennan, Hannah Steele, Phoebe Lobkowicz, Joseph Volk, Madeleine Chabot, Claudia Volk, Addie Chabot, Ian Chabot, AJ Chabot, Annie Volk, Jamie Chabot, Billy Chabot and Peter Chabot. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
