He was predeceased by: his parents, Stamatios 'Steve Bonatakis and Katina 'Katherine Bonatakis; his wife Frieda; and his siblings, Theodore Bonatakis, Christine Tountas, Sophie Boukas and Cassandra Sklias.
He is survived by: his sons, John S. Bonatakis (Cheryl) of Longmeadow and Charles M. Bonatakis (Laura Posnik); his daughter-in-law Roseann Bonatakis; and his grandchildren, Kristina of Charlie, III and Tessa Rose Bonatakis.
