He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Whitcomb and Josephine Whitcomb; and his siblings, Mildred McGovern, Edward, William and Harold Whitcomb.
He is survived by: his wife Sandy Tusia-Whitcomb of Littleton, Massachusetts; his children, Debra Jo Whitcomb of Hollywood, David Allen Whitcomb Jr. (Shelby) of Wolfeboro, Kelly Ann Whitcomb of Athol and Tracy Christine Whitcomb of St. Albans, Vermont; his grandchildren, Connor Scott Whitcomb (Chelsea) of Athol, Riley Anthony Whitcomb of Lewiston, Bailey Alejandro Whitcomb of Portland and Grady Louis Whitcomb of Wolfeboro; and his great grandchild Harrison Whitcomb of Lewiston. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
