Janet Louise (Chase) Lowther Obituary
LOWTHER – Janet Louise Lowther, 81, a longtime resident of Lexington, MA, died Wednesday, August 10, 2022 after a prolonged battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Roger L. Lowther; son, Roger W. Lowther; daughter, Janet Lynn Thieleking; six grandchildren: Aidan, Eastin, Coen, Kaizen, Evan, Vivian; brother, Warren; nieces: Karen, Kim, Angelique, Bethany; nephews: Kenny, Bob, Tim, Flynt. She was preceded in death by her sister, Carol. Janet was born August 23, 1940 in Waltham, MA, the daughter of the late Warren Wood and Evelyn Lockhart (Hoskins) Chase. She graduated from Waltham High School and The Chandler School and married Roger on May 22, 1971. She loved the Lord and her family very much. Her favorite memories were of traveling throughout the United States and Europe. She was a caring person who delighted in giving cards and gifts. Her gift wrapping and cake decorating were immaculate. She enjoyed attending worship services at Grace Chapel in Lexington and volunteering at Maria Hastings Elementary School. Janet loved to record her life in pictures and eat lobster and fried clams near the ocean. Funeral services will be held at Grace Chapel, 59 Worthen Road, Lexington, MA on Friday, September 9 at 2 PM. Interment will be at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA on Thursday, September 8 at 10:15 AM.
