He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Buckalew and Marguerite Anderson Buckalew of Peru; his brother Charles Buckalew of Terre Haute; and his daughter-in-law Gina Grandolfo of Tustin, California.. He is survived by: his wife Margaret McLaughlin of LIncoln; his sons, Michael Buckalew of Tustin, Thomas Buckalew of San Diego and Robert Buckalew of Redding; the mother of his children Karen Dempsey of San Diego, California; his sons, Brett Buckalew and Kevin Buckalew of Los Angeles; the mother of his children Sally Hixon of San Diego, California.; his stepchildren, Malcolm McLaughlin (Julie Lamirande McLaughlin) of Lucas and Julia Cody Walkup (Ward Gale Walkup IV) of Lincoln, Massachusetts; his grandsons, Shane, Lucas Buckalew of Redding and Nicholas Buckalew of Tustin, California; his stepgrandchildren, Jackson McLaughlin of Lucas, Lila McLaughlin of Lucas and Kathryn Walkup of Lincoln, Massachusetts.; his sisters, Joyce Buckalew Whittenberger (Steven) of Boerne and Risa Buckalew Utley (Michael) of Nashville; his sister-in-law Nancy Buckalew of Terre Haute, Indiana.; and also Darcy Kelley-Buckalew.
