He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Greta Wright; his daughters, Mairi Mashburn and Fiona Ostermayer; his grandchildren, Nicholas Hall, Catriona Mashburn, Calum Mashburn and Ian Ostermayer; his sons-in-law, David Mashburn and Paul Ostermayer; his sisters, Dorothy Bennett and Margaret Torrance; his nephews, Andrew Torrance and Graham Torrance; his brothers-in-law, Philip Bennett and Robert Torrance; his parents, Annie Richardson Wright and William Wright; his pets, Heidi and Greta; his friend Andrew of Greta's New; and also Professor Emeritus.

Andrew's family is asking that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Andrew and Greta Wright Fellowship.
