He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Hourihan and Janet Hourihan (Forcier). He is survived by: his wife Sheila Hourihan (Nelson); his children, Sean Hourihan (Andrea Borges) of Dudley, MA, Jennifer Peters (Jay) of East Kingston, NH and Heather Welch (Jonathan) of Amherst, MA; his grandchildren, Jack, Abby, Connor, Grace and Gabriel; and his siblings, Thomas Hourihan of Newington, NH, Ronald Hourihan of Greenfield, MA and Donna Glidden (Roland) of Manchester, MA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
