He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary B. Scott (Salipante); his children, Dianna Devine (Michael) of Arlington, Walter A. and Martha J. Scott (Robert Kohler) of Lexington; his grandchildren, Benjamin and Sarah Scott of Lexington; his sister Joan Furlong; his niece Darlene Checchi of Beverly; his nephew Frank L. Furlong III; and his siblings-in-law, Andre and Elaine Salipante.
