He was predeceased by: his parents, John L. Wheatley Sr. and Margaret Hewitt Wheatley; his sister Margaret Abrahamson; and his niece Kristen Abrahamson. He is survived by: his wife Mona Meyers Wheatley; his children, John Lewis Wheatley III (Karen), Linda Ann Wheatley of Vermont and Allison Wheatley Bovard (Chris) of Dallas; his grandchildren, Kelly Steffen, Nipa Wheatley, Christian Lyman, Caroline Wheatley, Charlie, Sam and Jack Bovard; his great grandchildren, Connor and Emmett Lyman; his siblings-in-law, Ed and Fran Meyers; and his nieces and nephews, Lisa Abrahamson Nagel, Karl Abrahamson, Charlie Meyers, Jim Meyers and Mallory Meyers Taylor.
