Jody Petner Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jody Petner of Lexington, Massachusetts, who passed away on January 13, 2025 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elizabeth Damiani and Joseph Damiani; her sister Betsy Andress (Zacchei); and her niece Elizabeth Andress. She is survived by: her husband Joe Petner; her daughters, Allison Watts (Andy) of Lexington, MA and Caroline Ortiz (Peter Arcari) of Bayonne, NJ; her grandchildren, Jacob, Lilly Watts and Nico Ortiz; her sister Kathy Davidson of Columbia, MD; her brother-in-law Stephen Andress of Bedford, MA; and her nieces and nephews, Christopher, Laura, William and Abigail.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Douglass Funeral Home (51 Worthen Rd, Lexington, MA 02421). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Parish (16 Follen Rd, Lexington, MA 02421).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Jody's name can be made to the Pan Mass Challenge to advance the treatment of cancer using the identifier JP0038.
