He was predeceased by: his former wife Virginia McGrath (Dunn); his wife Arlene McGrath (Nord); his sons, Gerald E. McGrath Jr., Kevin J. McGrath, Paul J. McGrath and Timothy J. McGrath; and his brothers, James McGrath of Washington, D. C., Joseph McGrath of Boston and John McGrath.
He is survived by: his son Michael F. McGrath; his children-in-law, Karin McGrath, Nikki McGrath and Jean McGrath; his siblings, Robert McGrath, Marie McGrath and Julia McGrath; and his grandchildren, Jacqueline, Gerald III, Marianne, Michael, Matthew and Bridgette. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
