He is survived by: his wife Carol A. Cummings (Flynn); his children, Kevin Cummings (Jeanne) of Medford, Patricia Shelmire (Robert) of Bedford and Kathleen Kiernan (Matthew) of Waltham; and his grandchildren, Matthew (Jessica), Erin, Cameron, Kara, Kaitlyn, Riley and Colin.

Donations in his memory may be made to the Massachusetts Amateur Sports Foundation-Bay State Games at Bay State Games 55 Sixth Rd Woburn, MA 01801.
