He is survived by: his wife Diane Downey of Richibouctou-Village; his daughter Nicole Downey Roberts (Brandin) of Baldwinville, MA; his granddaughters, Angelina Demeulle of Fitchburg, MA and Milanya Cormier of Waverly, VA; and his brother Ronald "Ronnie" Downey (Celeste) of Richmond, VA..
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Thompson's Funeral Home Chapel (33 Rue Acadie, Richibouctou, NB E4W 3V1). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Thompson Funeral Home (33 Rue Acadie, Richibouctou, NB E4W 3V1).
