He is survived by: his children, Sherry McDermott (Willis Buswell) of Leominster and Thomas McDermott Jr. (Michelle) of Leominster; his grandchildren, Kerrielle McDermott, Ryan McDermott (Cassandra) and Caitlyn Buswell of Leominster; his great grandchild Nora McDermott; and his siblings, Austin M. McDermott of Douglas, MA, Kathleen Boudreau of Leominster and Judith Bergeron of Leominster.
