He was predeceased by: his parents, Irving Stober and Irene Stober (Wilson); and his brother Edward Stober of Westfield. He is survived by: his wife Jane Stober (Donnelly) of Leominster; his children, Heidi Cyr (Stober) of Lunenburg, MA., Heather Fleming (Stober) of Lunenburg, MA. and Ryan Stober (Celeste) of Lunenburg, MA.; his grandchildren, Tyler Cyr, Emaleigh Cyr and Patrick Fleming; his brother Arthur Stober (Carole) of Glen Gardner; and his nephews, Robert Stober of Washington, Thomas Stober of Phoenix, Bobby and Tommy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Leominster Public Library or Leominster Veteran's Center.
