With profound sadness, we say goodbye to James A. Meaney Sr. of Lenox, Massachusetts, born in North Adams, Massachusetts, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. James left this world on October 16, 2024 at the age of 81, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Meaney and Ruth Quinn Meaney; and his siblings, Paul Meaney, Jr., Mary Ellen Perreault and Anne Carruth.
He is survived by: his wife Louise Meaney of Lenox; his children, James Meaney, Jr. (Sharon) of Bow, NH and Deborah Diehl of Pittsfield; his brothers, John Meaney, Sr. of North Adams and Gregory Meaney of North Adams; his grandchildren, Ryan, Caitlin Cassandra, Connor and Cameron; and his great grandchildren, Lennox and Hewitt. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society or to HospiceCare in the Berkshires and mailed to Dery Funeral Home.
