He was predeceased by: his parents, Sarafin Garcia and Gertrude Rodda Garcia; his wife Katherine Wilberding; his son Michael S. Garcia; and his sisters, Mona Sperlonga and Delores Trzcinka.
He is survived by: his sister Laura Brown; his grandsons, Shawn, Kevin Garcia and Carter Lyons; his stepchildren, Douglas Lyons, Katherine and Jennifer Lyons; and his niece Susan Borden.
