He was predeceased by: his parents, Owen Burtt and Barbara Burtt (Moore); and his sister Charlotte Livingstone. He is survived by: his wife Cindy Hermance; his daughters, Shelley Gilbert (Bob Shanley) and Stephanie Shriver; his mother-in-law Eleanor Hermance; and his siblings, Sandra Bowden (Bob), Sherry Jensen (Jim), Michelle Perkins, Keith Burtt (Johnnye), Kevin Burtt (Carol), Brian Burtt (Cathy), Darrell Burtt and Duane Burtt (Paula). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Seacoast Church (1500 US-501 BUS, Conway, SC 29526).
