He is survived by: his father José Taveras; his wife Yisel Taveras (Alvarez) of Dominican Republic; his siblings, Bolivar Ortega (Camilla) of Lawrence and Alex Taveras of Lawrence; his nieces and nephews, Jasmine, Nayeli, Kasey, Brandon, Kimberly Ortega and Brian Ortega; his godchildren, Xavion and Jadyis; his close friend Amanda Lind; and his pets, Zoey and Lenox. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
