He was predeceased by: his son-in-law George Elliot Mayo; his parents, Stanley Carroll and Kathryn (Libby); his brother-in-law Clifford; his siblings, Brian (Jennifer) and Jennifer Wilder (Robert); and his brother-in-law Paul Kyser.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Carroll (Kyser); his children, Austin (Melissa), Victoria Noonan (Neal), Virginia Chicarello (Sean) and Heidi Carroll; his grandchildren, Henry, Jack Noonan and Gemma Chicarello; his sister Laura Johnson; his nieces and nephews, Liz Wilder, Christopher Johnson (Tarrah), Kathryn Trigleth (Johnson), Sean, Shannon Carroll and Kaitlyn Kyser; his parents-in-law, Rex Kyser and Jean (Wilson); his brother-in-law Scott Kyser (Carol); and his close friend Peter Beach.
In lieu of flowers Alan's family has requested a donation be made in his honor to the Run For The Troops charity.
