It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William Irvin Engle of Lanesborough, Massachusetts, who passed away on April 12, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert I. Engle and Frieda Thurin; his daughters, Leslie Engle and Stephanie Ross; and his brother Robert Engle.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Engle; his pet Lanesborough; his children, Denise Granger (David) of Pittsfield, Jennifer Bocker (John) of Highlands Ranch, CO, Sarah Engle of Pittsfield and Brandon Engle of Pittsfield; and his siblings, Marvin Engle (Candy) and Jane Crantz (Henry). He is also survived by six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dery Funeral Home (54 Bradford St, Pittsfield, MA 01201). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Stephen's Episcopal Church (67 East St, Pittsfield, MA 01201).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to St. Stephen's Episcopal Church and mailed to Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
