With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Walter Patrick Shugrue of Lanesborough, Massachusetts, born in Whitinsville, Massachusetts, who passed away on April 8, 2023 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Sophie Knapick; his parents, Phillip Francis Shugrue and Margaret Mary McCabe Shugrue; and his siblings, William, Margaret, Mary, John Alice, Edward, Gerald, Leo and Joyce.
He is survived by: his children, Brian (Rochelle) of Leavenworth, Colleen Foody (Thomas) of Stephentown, NY, Pamela of Richmond, MA, District Attorney Timothy J. Shugrue (Joann) of Pittsfield, Joseph (Ginger) of Cheshire, MA, Rosemary Vinette (Robert) of Pittsfield, Ann Marie Vogel (Joseph) of Lanesborough and Walter; and his siblings, Raymond of Colorado and Claire Carol Shugrue-Pannier of Massachusetts. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
