We are sad to announce that on August 16, 2020 we had to say goodbye to George F. Whitehead of Lanesborough, Massachusetts, born in Cincinnati, Ohio. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward J. Whitehead and Dorothy Whitehead (Reigel); and his sisters, Katherine L. Martin and Susan C. Whitehead. He is survived by: his daughters, Mary E. Lacasse (Keith Janwich) of Lanesborough and April M. DiRoberto (Michael) of Webster; his grandchildren, Tyler E. Lacasse, Samantha L. Lacasse, Richard L. Carrington, Tonya M. Frenier (Kristine Frenier), Sabrina M. DiRoberto and Dylan M. DiRoberto; his siblings, Patricia A. Schoedinger of Castle Rock, Colorado and Edward J. Whitehead, Jr. (Sally) of Casper, Wyoming; and his pets, Bosco, D'Artagnan and Stella. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members and friends.
His Burial with United States Air Force Military Honors will follow the Prayer Service at Sainte Rose Cemetery, 49 Olsen Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. (Please note that masks are required, social distancing must be observed and funeral capacity is limited due to state guidelines.).
His family requests that memorial donations be made in his memory to Soldier On, 425 North Main Street, Building 6, Leeds, MA 01053.
