He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Clairmont and Ruth Clairmont (Mickle); his daughter Theresa; and his siblings, Phyllis, Ruth (Bette), Edward and John (Puzzy).
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy E. Clairmont of Lanesborough; his children, Richard D. Clairmont (Susan) of Hancock, MA and Ruth A. Knysh (Joseph) of Lanesborough; his grandchildren, Matthew Clairmont (Patricia), Elisha Young, Branden Knysh and Jaclyn Knysh; his great grandchildren, Nicholas Clairmont, Abigail Clairmont, Leah Young and Dow Young; and his brother LeRoy Clairmont (Carol). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
