He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Santella and Gloria Santella. He is survived by: his wife Judith E. Forsberg Santella; his sister Sherry Santella of Florida; his niece Taryn Santella (Ryan Greenwood) of Rhode Island; his sisters-in-law, Ann (Edward St) and Dorothy Forsberg (Obdulio Rodriguez); his mother-in-law Nell Forsberg of Worcester; his sisters, Lucy Pendell, Maura Conlon of Boylston and Chris Johnson of Worcester; and his close friends, Tommy Boston, Ronnie Boston, Tex Cheroff and Philip Giansanti.
He loved his career choice and chose to delay his retirement for an extra year when he was asked to stay to help out during the pandemic.
In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of choice.
