She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Steed and Alice Steed Nichols (Richards); her stepfather Edward Nichols; her brother Lester Steed; and her husband Joseph F. LaFountain.
She is survived by: her siblings, Bernice Terlaje, Brownie Steed and Constance Whitman; her daughters, Michelle Peeler-LaFountain (Sharon) of Ft. Myers, FL and Jodi A. LaFountain of Lancaster; her granddaughter Alysha D. Fairweather (Matthew J.) of Lancaster; and her great grandchild Luke R. Fairweather of Lancaster. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins along with many cherished friends.
