He is survived by: his children, John Shimkus Jr. of Taunton and Annmarie Quin (Joseph) of Lakeville; his siblings, Peter Shimkus (Linda) of North Carolina, Carolyn Shimkus (William Bahr) of Florida, Joseph Shimkus (Linda Melchionne) of Maine, Stephen Shimkus of Dighton, Rita Shimkus of Buzzards Bay, Veronica Ellis (Ricky) of Bridgewater, Paul Shimkus of Carver and Christopher Shimkus (Lisa) of Middleboro; and his brother-in-law Michael Janak of Carver. He is also survived by several in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
