It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James W. Murphy of Lakeville, Massachusetts, born in Fall River, Massachusetts, who passed away on July 12, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James J. Murphy and Helen R. Murphy (Burke). He is survived by: his wife Cynthia A. Murphy (Donovan); his daughters, Amy Murphy Kontos (Edward), Nancy Murphy Jenkins (Matthew) and Anne-Marie Murphy Harden (Jeffrey); and his grandchildren, Sophia Kontos, Brady Jenkins, Katie Kontos, Mary-Kelley Harden, Abby Jenkins, Maddy Kontos, Ellie-Anne Harden and Teaghan-Marie Harden. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Woody's memory to the Veterans of Foreign War, Saint Vincent de Paul, or a charity of your choice.
