He was predeceased by: his parents, Eric G. Shearstone and Veronica Shearstone (Bousquin); and his sister Ann W. Briggs. He is survived by: his wife Diana L. Shearstone (Pirozzi); his children, Peter Shearstone (Carol) of Lake Forest, IL, Amy Vermette (Louis) of Lakeville and Todd Shearstone (Amanda) of Worcester, MA; and his grandchildren, Courtney, Matthew, Christopher, Mia and Joy. He is also survived by several cousins and good friends.
