It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Virginia Sweeney of Kingston, Massachusetts, born in Boston, Massachusetts, who passed away on January 18, 2021, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Florence Sullivan and Nora Sullivan (O'Malley); her husband Ralph E. Sweeney; her children, Russell V. Sweeney (Mary Sweeney-Gengler) of South Dakota and Regina M. Gatter (Stephen) of Natick; and her siblings, Augustine Sweeney, Girard Sweeney, Mary Candage, Florence Murphy and Brendan Sweeney.

She is survived by: her children, Anne T. Pilvines (late John) of Sharon and Mark X. Sweeney of North Carolina.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to West River Hospice 63 Kendrick Street Needham, MA 02494.
