He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillian Melanson (Winecoff) and John Melanson; his son Eric Melanson; and his siblings, Carol Degrenier, Jack Melanson and George Melanson.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Melanson (LaRocco) of Kingston; his children, Mark Melanson (Kim) of Kingston, Chris Melanson (Angela) of Pembroke and Sean Melanson (Laura) of Pembroke; his grandchildren, Dylan, Mia, Ella, Myles, Mason, Jake, Lila and Luca Melanson; his siblings, Gerry Derochea of Abington, Teresa Geronatis and Jane Melanson; and his stepsiblings, Joanne Piekut, Bill Piekut and Frank Piekut.
