He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Dick Hamilton and Janet Hamilton (Hatch); his wife Frances Hamilton (Shea); his children, Gavin, Lauren and Emma Hamilton; his siblings, Leigh Rae (John) and Doug Hamilton (Sarah); his sister-in-law Barbara Civiello (Jim); and his parents-in-law, Dean Shea and Cornelia Shea. He was also cherished by many aunts, uncles, cousins nieces and nephews.
