He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Barbara Moriarty (Hardiman); his children, Kevin (Lisa Moriarty) of Plymouth, Maryann Vierra (Roger) of Norwell and John Moriarty Jr. (Heidi) of Quincy; his siblings, Daniel Moriarty, Marion McLaughlin, Frederick Moriarty and Doris Beale; his parents, Daniel Moriarty and Mary Mulhern Moriarty; and his great grandchildren, Erin, Darci, Taylor, Collin, Kristin, Jack, Hannah, Isla and Luke. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Holbrook Rotary, P.O. Box 103, Holbrook, MA 02343.
