It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ann Yvonne James of Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts, who passed away on August 17, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Ann may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Ann touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph James, Sr. and Willie Mae Brown; her son Anthony D'Angelo James; her close friend John Bland; and her siblings, William Wallace James, Sr., Joseph James, Jr. and Mary Frances Poole.
She is survived by: her niece Stephanie Poole-Sims (Robert Sr.); her great-nieces, Ronasia and Raniah Perry; and her aunt Evelyn J. Tannehill. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and two great- great grandchildren.
